Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Linda (Joyce) Howarth at the age of 70. Linda was predeceased by her husband Bill and grandson Devon. Linda was born on Sept. 9, 1952 in Moose Jaw Sask. Her and Bill moved to Penticton BC where they had 2 sons Lance and Trevor. They then moved to Moose Jaw where they fostered children for a few years, moving to Ontario where Linda worked for the Red Cross for a number of years and spending their final years back in Penticton.  She loved spending time outdoors fishing, camping and hunting. Linda had a loving and caring heart, always ready to help anyone who needed it. She was a strong and courageous woman, listening intently to anyone she was talking to. She will be missed by so many. Linda is survived by her Mother Gloria, 2 Sons Lance and Trevor, Grandchildren Jordan, Brandon, Dylan and TJ., Sisters, Connie, Gloria, Barb & Judy, brothers Don and Doug, along with many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at the Penticton Elks Lodge, 343 Ellis Street, Penticton, BC, on Friday January 20, 2023 at 11:00 am.

Many great memories I have of us as kids together many days at the beach , ice cream , summer’s in Penticton with Auntie Gloria and the cousins picking fruit , laughing and just having fun, my last time I seen Linda was a trip to Connie’s after my mom passed the girls had a lovely get together with good food and singing with David. Linda took me to pick Cherries oh my favorite good times we had , we say goodbye to you Linda (the Lady) as my dad called her .Rest in peace Coz

Linda, I truly am heartbroken you’re gone. The only thing that gives me piece is know Bill and Devon we’re waiting right there with arms wide open. Hug my son tight, and give him a big kiss from his mommy. Thank you for loving my children your grandson’s,implicitly. My heart breaks for you and the rest of the family. You will always be in my ❤️. As tragic as this has become, you have your favourite people waiting to show you a whole new world. You’re free now, from the suffering, the pain, the quality of life, you’re safe in the arms of Dev and Bill. My hearts goes out to the entire Howarth family, I’m truly sorry for you’re loss, she will be greatly missed. And F#!k Cancer! Trevor and Lance you have the entire family including mine, sending you love, and great memories, the strength and courage to know she’s in a much better place. Again my love goes out to everyone who’s life she touched.
