Bradbeer, Alan Emmerson

October 14, 1926 ~ February 22, 2023

After a long life and a short illness, Alan Bradbeer passed away in his 96th year. He is pre-deceased by his wife Dorothy (Nee Holmes), his son Bob, and his grandson Jason. Alan is survived by his daughters Judy Bradbeer (George) and Beverley Burlingame (Doug) and by daughter-in-law Barbara Bradbeer. In time, Alan was blessed with with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Alan grew up in Vancouver, the only child of Beatrice and Wilfred Bradbeer. After completing grade 10, Alan left school to help with family finances. For a time, he apprenticed as a carpenter constructing wooden steering wheels for ships, later changing careers to work as a sales representative for an electrical control company. In his later working life, Alan worked for A.C Motor Electric in Penticton. 

Alan was an avid reader and historian, which led to his appointment to President of the Penticton Historical Society. With wife Dorothy, they collected antiques and travelled the province in search of ghost towns and the treasures they held.
