Beatrice Emma Kerswell

Obituary
Beatrice E. Kerswell of Penticton, BC passed away suddenly after a short illness on Monday October 2, 2023 at the age of 95 years.
Mom was born and raised in Vancouver. She was married to Cecil Kerswell and had 5 children. After 30 years of that marriage ended. Mom then went to work catering first at Manhattan Caterers with Marion Blackburn, and later in downtown Vancouver at Advanced Caterers. She was very good at her job and was requested by several including the owners of the Canucks. When she turned 70 she moved to Penticton, to be close to daughter, and help each other.
During her retirement she traveled the world via cruises with Ruth McElveen. And traveled to Mexico and Vegas(and Reno) with another friend Kay Wilson.
Her many life long friends have passed before her such as Mildred Lamer, Phyllis Beinarson, that spent so much time with her. Many more as well.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter Karen King and husband Cliff, son Robert Dan Kerswell, grandchildren Alyson and Brian Corry, Keenan, Shannon, Melissa, Linda Castley, Daena Dent, Terri Favell, sister Evelyn Green as well as several great-grandchildren. Beatrice was predeceased by brother Len, sister Claire, daughter Pamela, son Stephen, son Mark and daughter-in-law Patti.
By request there will be no Memorial Service. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
