Betty Ruth Hampson

Obituary
It is with immense sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Hampson on Monday May 27th 2024 at the age of 79 years. Betty was born on February 21st 1945 in Simcoe county in the province of Ontario. Betty lived in Ontario until 1985 when she moved to British Columbia with her family. Betty was a strong, independent woman who enjoyed crafting and taking in the views along Penticton’s Lakeshore. Betty will be greatly missed a forever remain in our hearts and memories. Betty is survived by her daughter Kristina Gardner and son Christopher Hampson. Grandchildren; Kaitlyn Gardner (Justin), Mikayla Gardner (Kevan), greatgrandchildren; Dakota Mackay, Wyatt MacKay and Lucas Timpano. She is also survived by her brother Robert Chapman (Lorna) and sister Beverly Depatie (Ron) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Betty was predeceased by her parents Lorne and Edna Chapman, son Jeremiah Hampson, brothers Thomas Chapman and James Chapman.
A private Interment will be held at the Okanagan Falls cemetery at a later date.
Betty’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the BC cancer clinic in Kelowna and the staff at the Penticton Regional Hospital who took such loving and compassionate care of Betty.
