Betty Irene McIntyre

September 18, 1946 - June 19, 2024

Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Betty Irene McIntyre. She was born in Coffs Harbour N.S.W Australia on September 18, 1946. She met her late loving husband Donald Francis McIntyre of Powell River, in Australia in 1971. They spent many days enjoying the outdoors around Bondi Beach. They married in 1976 and moved to Canada where they raised their family in Prince George, B.C. They enjoyed many years with their family and good friends that they made over the years. Betty and Don later retired to Barrier, B.C.  One of Bettys hobbies that she did for many years was decorating beautiful birthday and wedding cakes. She also enjoyed making flower arrangements for weddings. Betty and Don enjoyed many road trips over the years from Prince George to Vancouver Island, all the way down to the United States. One of the biggest joys of her life was her grandchildren, and she was proud of all of them.  Betty will be greatly missed by her children Rhonda (Rod), Cyreen (Paul), Shannon (Tara), and Danny (Chrystal), her grandchildren, Tanna, Brandon, Sophia, Gage, Kylie, Alexander, Chloe, Izzabelle, Braeden, Jared, Dante, Dawson, great-granddaughter Paisley, sisters Yvonne, Erran, Gail and numerous other family members and friends across Canada and Australia.Predeceased by her husband Donald McIntyre, her parents Edward Simpson and Lydia Simpson, and her brother Nevelle.
There will be a celebration of life to follow.
