From: Kettle Valley Memorial Services

The Kettle Valley Memorial staff send our condolences to family and friends.

From: Noni Keys
Relation: We've been friends since primary school and always enjoyed catching up, in N. Vancouver, Australia, and more recently in Summerland.

My heart goes out to Brock’s family. Along with many, many others, I will miss him.

From: Shirley Henn
Relation: My Chiropractor and Friend

I am so very sorry to hear of Brock’s passing. Yes, he was my awesome Chiropractor, but he was a good friend and we stayed in touch on Messenger. He helped me in so many ways. Loved my appointments, always knew I was in for a great catch up session and tons of laughs. Brock, RIP, you will truly be missed.

From: Terry Chiu
Relation: A long time patient of his

My sincere condolences to Brock’s family and love one! I was Brock’s patient since the late 80’s till his retirement. Brock’s treatments saved me from back surgery and enabled me to live a normal life. We had many many conversations about life, outdoor activities as well as politics. May you Rest In Peace and you will be missed!

From: Dave Welsh
Relation: Friend, collegue and ski buddy.

One of “Brockstar’s” memorable messages etched in my mind after what turns out to be our last Big White ski trip together in January of this year: “Thank you for such an awesome trip and for the pleasure of your company. I love you all and our friendship and how we all celebrate our similarities and respect our differences. You guys ROCK!!”

From: Ian Barnett
Relation: Friend since university

I met Brock in 1976 at Simon Fraser University and we immediately became friends. We played hockey and tennis together and enjoyed cross country skiing, hiking and biking as well. After university we worked together at Ducks Unlimited in Kamloops and had many fun experiences and joint projects. We remained friends all along and would connect whenever possible. In 2017 we had a great camping trip to Big Bar Lake and did some fun hiking and biking. I have been away much of the summer and was shocked and saddened to hear of Brock’s passing. He was such an incitedul and caring man and I will miss our strong connection. I will sign off with the name that he always called me – Doctor!

From: Anne Pybus
Relation: A dear long term friend age 13- 66.

I sadly recently learned of Bricks passing. Intermittently from high school graduation Brock and I through the years would often meet to walk or hike and catch up on each other’s lives in either Yukon or Summerland. It was always a soulful experience. I deeply respected Brock’s service in his work as a Chiropractor and so valued his friendship. My condolences to his family , his step daughter whom he proudly spoke of, and his friends. I was planning to see him and learned of his death! I celebrate his memory. I will miss his gentle , wise and humerus presence. Love Anne Pybus and the extended Pybus family.

From: Susan Severide
Relation: We were friends in high school and shared some day hiking adventures

Deepest sympathy to Brock’s family and friends and all those whose lives he touched through his generous service, kindness and love of the outdoors.
