Obituary
Carl Royden Bartlett Jr, 70, of Penticton, BC, born in Calais, ME, passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2024, from a long courageous battle with cancer. He is remembered by his children Jessica Lahey (Shawn) of Presque Isle, ME, Christopher Bartlett of Augusta, ME, ex-wife Debby McFarlane of St. Stephen, NB, sister Peggy Fader (John) of Calais, ME, Gerry Bartlett (Sharon) of Calais, ME, Brenda Bartlett-Dupuis (Paul) of St. Stephen, NB, friend Glenda Ross; 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Carl Bartlett, his mother Helen Cookson (McLean), Stepfather Ross Cookson, and common law partner Marilyn. Carl served in the United States Marines for two years, earned his rank of Corporal, and received a national defense medal, and sharpshooter awards. He was a 5o year member of the American Legion.
He found joy in being out in nature and anything to do with photography. He loved spending time with his friends, going and listening to the oldies. A veteran’s memorial will be held in Calais, ME, this will be announced at a later date
