Charles Gregory Bartholet

July 23, 1982 - January 9, 2024

Obituary

On the morning of January 9th, 2024, the darkness lifted and our beloved Greg began a new journey free from pain. His departure comes as a great shock by everyone that loved him our hearts are shattered. Throughout the years he held various jobs. He worked at the lakeside casino, casino of the Rockies, Dj’ing and Andres. He then became a security and bodyguard and worked with numerous bands, singers and celebrities, at concerts and movie sets. He owned an operated TrinLee Surveillance for several years.

A man of multiple talents, a genius at math, woodworking, graphic design, developing computer programs, and always learning something new. Greg had an incredible artistic talent for playing the piano and guitar. (self-taught and always attracted a crowd) he was a full-time adventure seeker and risk taker, often exceeding his mother’s limits. Riding his motor bikes, skiing, boating and partying with his friends were some of his favorite activities. Prior to being on dialysis Greg traveled to many places such as Oregon, California, Nevada, Jamaica, Cuba and Texas. Exploring NASA was a highlight.

He faced his battles head on with a smile. Just like the Pepsi commercial quote, he’d say “I’m good”. The family would like to thank the staff of the Penticton and Kelowna hospitals and the paramedics. We will always remember your laugh, love and sense of humor. You will live on in our hearts.

Greg is survived by his mother Cindy Bartholet (Doug), beloved daughter Trinity. Sister Melissa Peet (nee Bartholet), brother-in-law Matt, niece Natalie, his brother from another mother “Beamer”, aunt Deb and uncle Scott Arthur. Cousins Jennifer Hamelin, (Troy) (Theo) (Emmie), Michelle Spencer and countless friends.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre, 21 Lakeshore Drive West, Penticton, BC, on February 3, 2024, at 3:00pm.
