The first time I met Christy was at a Ukrainian Christmas celebration where her family graciously invited me to celebrate with them. We made perogies, socialized and just had a good time. Christy had an awesome sense of humour which filled the room with laughter all throughout the evening. She will be missed. I send my condolences to all her family.

So many sweet moments with this beautiful woman. I most often hung out with Christy in a pack. The pack was made up with Shirley, Cindy and some of the sisters.

This particular day started out with just Shirley, Christy and I. It was Peach Fest, Shirley had to leave for work so Christy and I took Cleo, Larresha and Kaiden and we sat at the park with the train so the kids could play. We talked and talked. Christy was such a good listener and her laughter was so delightful. We shared our love for our kids, and our struggles as a mom too. We watched the kid, then played with the kids. Christy had so much energy and she didnt waste it and my usually spot on the bench just watching turned into us up the slide and down the slide running and chasing the kids. I laughed, we giggled, we played! I loved that about Christy she was energetic and fun! Always herself and full of joy.

My heart would always be so happy when Christy can to town. Everyone would gather at Shirleys. Games laughter, more games and more laughter. Christy would win them all every time. There was alway friendly competition between the sisters but she always came out on top, well mostly… Oh the sweet laughter.

Her laughter will always be remembered.

I first met Christy when we both joined search and rescue together.
It was great sharing so many experiences together wether it was learning to tie rescue knots together, helicopter adventures, UTV training, heading out for those middle of the night searches, or enjoying trips to the island on tracking courses, our hikes together or her crazy 80s karaoke birthday party at the legion lol
Christy and I didnt always agree on everything but one thing we both shared together was the compassion to help people. I will always remember her drive to help anyone she could that came into her path.
R.I.P Christy your smile, silliness, adventurous, compassionate spirit will be missed by many

I am so sad to hear this. I remember Christy as being such a kind person who made being a teenager in high school a lot easier because she was so kind. She had great style and was just so true to herself. I loved her smile and laugh ️. Sending my condolences to her friends and family.

Christie was my go to Search and Rescue member when we did the AdventureSmart Hug A Tree presentations to the Cubs and Scouts. The kids loved her honest open interaction when she displayed the items in her hiking day pack. She held their attention like no one Ive ever seen.
I only knew Christie through Search and Rescue, she was always willing to get out and help others and went above and beyond what was expected.
Rest In Peace Christie, you contributed a lot in such a short time.
