Cole Edwin Johnson

February 7, 2002 - June 16, 2024

Obituary

Cole was born on February 7, 2002, to his mother, Carolyn Johnson, and father, Darin Johnson. Cole was diagnosed with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 5 and passed away peacefully at home at the young age of 22. He left behind a younger brother, Boston, and sister, Summer.  He had two sets of grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Cole graduated from Summerland Secondary School. He loved muscle cars, studying spirituality and had a YouTube channel called “The Humble Chronicles”.

Cole is an old soul who came here to teach us about strength and love. He had a way of weaving his amazing sense of humour into his words of wisdom. His work here is now complete but his connection and inspiration to those who knew him is still strong and will carry on forever.

We will always remember Cole’s smile and his impressive determination. Our hearts go out to his parents, Carolyn and Darrin, and his siblings, at this difficult time.

I would listen to Cole’s videos to hear his voice, and perhaps somehow try to lessen the distance. My heart feels the peace he is now in, yet aches for more time for everyone to have with him. He was very special in his perspectives and approach to life. And I appreciated his wittiness and special relationships with his family – remembering their conversations back and forth in the kitchen on my last visit ❤️. Far too long ago.. I pray his soul rests in peace.
