Obituary
Colin Mathew Harrison was born Mar 15, 1997 in Murrayville. B.C. and passed away on Aug. 4, 2024 in Kelowna General Hospital.
He was raised in Aldergrove until he moved to Princeton in or around 2015. Colin was a good worker and dedicated employee who worked at SBC Firemaster in Princeton, B.C. He began working there approximately 9 years ago and enjoyed his work and the people he worked with.
Colin was a caring, kind, loving man who gave great hugs. He loved nature, hiking, fishing and spending time with his daughter and his family of friends. He had a heart of gold. Colin is predeceased by his Great-grandfather Don Lanz (2001), Grandfathers Patrick Brophy (2007) and David Genik (2022).
Left to cherish Colin’s memory are his daughter Mika Sunshine Rose Gronen, her brother Gabriel and their mother Raven Whincup, Mother Tanya Harrison, Sister Chayna Harrison, Grandparents Bonny and Tim Harrison, Uncle Troy Harrison, Aunt Michelle and cousins Noah and Nathaniel Harrison. Father Martin Genik (Amanda Higo) great Grandmother Audrey Lanz, Grandmother Loretta Brophy, Uncle Dan Brophy (Kathleen) Uncle Steve Brophy, step-siblings Corbin Russo and Tori Durham and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Also left to cherish his memory are his family of Friends: Paige Powers, Mike Riley, Connor Webb, and Trent Robinson, to whom we are all forever grateful.
Colin will be forever remembered as our hero and will live in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either: SPCA or a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Friday August 30, 2024 at 1:00pm at Kettle Valley Memorial, 101-1873 Main Street, Penticton, BC.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I owe my life to you for saving my grandson. You gave your life up for him. You are a hero in my eyes and many. You will be greatly missed. Thank you. And thank you for giving me a beautiful granddaughter. Rest in peace till we meet again
