Darren James Goulet

April 23, 1969 - June 16, 2024

Obituary

It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Darren James Goulet on June 16th of 2024. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his two children, Farrah and Jared, his former wife, Cheryl, his mother, Margaret, his siblings, Greg and Deanne, his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Darren had an incredibly adventurous spirit, having spent much of his time travelling and experiencing everything the world could offer him. He was quick witted, and often became the shining light of any gathering by sharing his incredibly hilarious anecdotes that would leave those around him in stitches. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. The warmth of his close embrace in times of need and his infectious playful smile will be dearly missed by those that had the pleasure of having Darren in their lives. We take comfort in knowing that Darren will be welcomed with open arms on the other side by his late father, Ray, and that he will reunite with his beloved dog, Sabre, whom he missed with all his heart.

The family would like to thank Kettle Valley Memorial for their compassionate care during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations to a charity of your choice or a mental health association would be greatly appreciated.

By request there will be no service.

I only met Darren recently but I am heartbroken to learn of his passing. We would chat about the playoffs, he knew I was a rangers fan and he would mention them whenever we spoke. I wish his family peace at this time and send my heartfelt condolences for this life cut far too short.

From: Bonnie Flint
Relation: Great Friend

My Heart is broken that Darren is no longer with us. I worked with Darren at Bunches Bistro and then became very close friends with him. Many great memories in Peachland, boating all day to many BBQ’s and Great Night Fires. He always greeted you with a Big Bear Hug and that SMILE. You made an impression on everyone you knew, always upbeat and laughing. You shall truly be missed Darren, may you be finally at peace. Forever in our Hearts.
My heart goes out to the family, I know there are no words that can ease your pain, be kind and gentle with yourselfs. May all your wonderfull memories comfort you during this heartbreaking time.

From: Tammy Arishenkoff
Relation: Friend and neighbour

Darren was a neighbour and friend of ours in Peachland. We shared a love of the Oilers, our dogs and telling stories and laughing around the fire pit in our back yard. We will miss his friendship, great stories and laughs together. Rest in peace dear friend.

From: Todd Hoover
Relation: Friend

You were always a loyal and good friend, Darren. I will miss all of our adventures. You loved the beach, your dog, friends and family but most of all your children. I’m glad we spoke recently. You didn’t give me time to say it back, but I love you too. The Hoover family sends its condolences.

From: Karmen
Relation: Work friend

Sending our condolences to your family. Darren will be missed my so many. He always spoke about his kids and their soccer and guitar accomplishments and how proud he was of them. He turned customers into friends. And friends into customers. He would make jokes that cracked everyone into giggles. Heart is so sad to hear this news. X
