Obituary

David William Galt
Born November 26 1954 and bid this world goodbye, surrounded by a Gaggle of Galt Girls and loved ones on January 30 2023 after a long time battle with Kidney disease First in line to welcome David were his parents Barb & Doug, followed closely by his beloved fur babies Susie, Skeena and Jack along with many friends who went before him. David was the fun loving father to Carley (Simon), Sydney. Brother to Ian, Pam (Steve). Cherished GG to Max, Blair and Locky. Funcle to Taylor, Kelsey (Mitch) Galt, Jenn and Chris Martin. Newly Great Funcle to Maizy. David grew up in Oakville, ON, breaking many a girls hearts before moving to Whistler, BC where he was best known for being The Captain of the Alta Lake Barge. We can’t think of a better place to celebrate David’s life than Tapley’s Bar in Whistler on May 13th from 1-4 where David made so many friends and memories. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcomed to Hospice House Kelowna hospicehousekelowna.com

So sorry to hear that Dave has passed. I remember Dave always at our house growing up. Best friends with my sister maralee. Always had great laughs with Dave. Over the years I’d be visiting Maralee and Dave would call and always hear maralee laughing then I’d be laughing. Never a dull moment with Dave wether in person or on the phone. Dave will be greatly missed by many. R.I.P.Dave. 🙏
