Donald David Dearborn

Obituary
Donald David Dearborn, of Penticton, B.C., beloved husband of Veda Dearborn (Bain), passed on August 25, 2024, at the age of 85 years old.
Born April 9, 1939, to parents Dave and Kathleen Dearborn near Richard, Saskatchewan, where he started school. He moved to Surrey, where he lived and attended school from 1946. He met Veda on May 16, 1958, and they married on May 16, 1959.
While in school, Don worked at Woodward’s, then started working in sawmills, eventually becoming a lumber grader and then foreman. He later worked at the B.C. Penitentiary, then Matsqui Institution as a counsellor. He loved flying and became a private pilot. Don became a salesman and then started his own business, working in advertising, printing, sign-making, etc. He also worked on the Expo 86 Committee for Rainbow Country.Don loved travelling, flying, motorcycles, and RVs.
Don is survived by his three sons: Raymond, Daniel (Lisa), and Randy (Nancy).
His grandchildren are Barb Skywalker (Drew Milliken), Daniel Alves (Angie), Matt Dearborn, Nic Dearborn (Alisa), Adam Dearborn (Jennifer), Wells Dearborn (Belinda), and Jessica Delagatty (David), as well as ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Joan Wille (Fred) and Gloria Mamchur (deceased), and two brothers, Byron Dearborn (Sharon) and Daryl Dearborn (Diane).
Don was predeceased by his parents, David Dearborn and Kathleen Nee Hatt) Dearborn, as well as his sister, Gloria, and her husband, Trygue.
