Obituary

Just call me “Queen Elisabeth” she would say when meeting someone new. A beautiful soul inside and out, who will be sorely missed by her loved ones is true.  Austria is where she was born and raised, along with her 10 siblings whom she played with throughout her wartorn childhood days. Leaving home to create her own adventure at an early age, she found her way to Canada with her two daughters to start a new page.  A loving mother to Marianne & Beatrice whom were her joy and pride, and finally meeting the love of her life Alan and becoming his bride. She was the world’s greatest Oma (Tiffany, Mathew, Ashlea, April, & Brady) and Great-Oma (Carter, Kobi, Meredith, Kylo, Jackson, Nora, Rylee, Skylar, & Luca); all calling her forever Oma-Boma. Her children and grandchildren made her so incredibly proud, she would share her glow with strangers and friends aloud.

She loved nature, good coffee, crocheting, specialty cheese, and feeding us her delicious cooking leaving us always requesting “More Please!” She taught us to make vanillekipferl and schnitzel, to crochet dishcloths, and to shop for good bargains. We will miss how she could talk for hours, telling us stories filled with her very own special jargon. We will always and forever remember her laughter often, and the core values she taught us will never be forgotten.
