Giovannina Timpano passed away peacefully on March 3rd 2023, at the age of 88. Immigrating from Serra San Bruno, Italy in 1958, she lived a long and happy life surrounded by the people she loved. The most important thing in the world to her was family: caring, loving and feeding them. Giovannina loved to cook and looked forward to every Friday night when the family would gather for supper. She made a point of waiting by the phone to be reassured that her loved ones arrived at their destination, even if it was 5 minutes away, “phone me as soon as you get home.” Giovannina was selfless, generous, hardworking, wise, gentle, patient, thoughtful and loving; she always put others before herself. She had a heart of gold and was truly beautiful, inside and out. She was a devoted wife, loving mother/grandmother and caring daughter/sibling/aunt. Her love was felt by all and she will be greatly missed.
Fondly remembered and deeply missed by her loving children, Bruno and Susan, Serafina and David, Domencio, Antonio and Shelley; and her grandchildren Kevan (Mikayla), Jenny (Jared), Chylanne (Kai, Mila, Maeve), Niko, Nicole, Cole (Meaghan, Nova), Jolaine (Mitch), Juli, along with her many beloved family members in Penticton, Ontario and Italy.
Sadly pre-decreased by her beloved husband, Raffaele Timpano; her parents, Stella and Raffaele Lacaria; and her siblings along with their spouses, Elisabeth (Nazzareno) Cunsolo, Angelina (Nicola) Zaffino, Maria Grazia (Natale) Figliuzzi and Bruno (Sara) Lacaria.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday March 9, 2023 at 9:00 am, at the Penticton Lakeview Cemetery, 775 Lower Bench Road, Penticton, BC.
Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.
