Obituary

WHELEN, HARRISON ROBERT

It is with the heaviest of hearts we must say goodbye to a kind, loving and sweet boy, Harrison. Harry was born on February 23, 1999, in Prince Albert, SK, 3 minutes after his “big sister” Emily. He was the handiest guy around and was always willing to lend a hand. He was our go-to guy when we had computer or car troubles, was Amazon’s biggest customer and had every gadget known to mankind! He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and we are so proud of the person he was. Losing him has left a void in our lives that will never be filled.

He was predeceased by his father Robert Whelen in 2004, his grandparents Vern & Gloria Whelen, Grandmother Bonni Jenic, and his two uncles, Karl & Devon that he loved so much. He is survived by his twin sister Emily, Mom & Stepdad Barb & Andre Martin, stepbrothers Pieter (Brianne), Patrick (Tiana Savage), Jordan (Megan) and nephew Landry. His Aunts Shelley, Sandy, Wendy, Tracey (Michael) and Darla-Rae, cousins Jessie & Marley (Taylor) and grandfather Des Jenic. He was a very hard worker and was valued by his co-workers. He loved his job at Lordco as a delivery driver. We find peace in knowing he is watching down on us and smiling wearing his big flannel jacket. He was truly one of a kind and we will remember his jokes, his laugh, his sense of humor and his kind, thoughtful nature. The family is planning a Celebration of Life this coming summer. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the South Okanagan Brain Injury Society.
