Obituary

Jacklyn Leslie Scott of Kelowna BC, beloved mother and great friend of many, passed away peacefully at 61 years of age following a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer on May 28th, 2021. Jacklyn was born on June 30th, 1959, in Vancouver BC. She grew up in Ladner, BC. Jacklyn was so loved by so many. Her extremely generous, kind and gentle nature meant that her door was always open with a plate of delicious food on the table for everyone who crossed her path. Her love for music and art was great and it shined bright through her cooking and awesome singing voice. She never judged, only loved and she always found the positive in everyone and everything. Her wonderful, infectious laugh and beautiful smiling face made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. Many of her daughters friends considered her to be like another mother, always sharing a compassionate, encouraging, supportive space in her heart for everyone she met. Her bright light lit up every room and she was always full of such energy and vigour, joyfully accommodating the needs of those around her. She truly meant the world to those who loved her and she will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know this amazing woman. “There’s nobody like Jackie”.
