Obituary

Jill Lennie (Angle) sadly passed away December 14, 2023 at the age of 91
Jill was born on June 17, 1932 in Kelowna to Margaret and Harry Angle. Jill graduated from QMS (Queen Margaret’s School in Duncan) in 1948, an all girls boarding school at the time, where she made many life long friends. Upon returning to Kelowna, Jill graduated her senior matrix year from
KSS in 1950. She was one of the first employees of Kelowna’s TV station (CHBC) in 1957. At the time, only 500 homes in the Kelowna area had television receivers. Jill had 4 children, Moira, Cathy, Barb and Doug. She was a remarkable mother, incredibly supportive, cooking up many a delicious hot lunch for the students and teachers at KLO School in
the early 1970’s, while keeping a close eye on her teenage children. She was a passionate gardener, loved hiking and road trips. She was quite adventurous. She did a lot of things that women were not suppose to do…. all with a great sense of humor. She loved spending time with family and friends and could instantly whip up a gourmet meal in the blink of an eye. She was
famous for her homemade peach ice cream and actually had her recipe published in Gourmet magazine. She had an immense love for all animals….except spiders. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Peggy, her sister Jane Steele and son-in-law Lance Smith. She is survived by her sister Jess (Herb) Partridge, brother John (Marion) Angel, and loved and
missed by her children, Moira (Mark) Bendahan, Cathy Smith, Barb Lennie Davis and Doug (Dawn) Lennie, her grandchildren, Josh (Larkin) Bendahan, Zac (Kailee) Bendahan, Cody Smith, Leah (Joel) Smith, Samantha Davis, Carly (Blake) Davis and Wyatt Lennie and great grandchildren Wilder,
