John David Russell

October 11, 1964 - November 26, 2024

Obituary

It is with a heavy heart to announce the sudden passing of John Russell on November 26, 2024. It was a shock to friends and family. John will be sadly missed in both BC and Ontario.

A skilled tool and die maker, John spent over 40 years in the steel industry and boasted many talents at work and at home. Many will recognize his creations in the area and throughout B.C. His design work and ability to bring it to fruition will be truly missed by all.

He was born in Toronto and, therefore a die-hard Leaf fan, which led to many spirited conversations with friends in his new home of Penticton. Coming to Penticton in 2019, John and wife Tracy set out to explore British Columbia. The beauty of British Columbia was enjoyed through their travels while hunting, fishing and camping with his buddy T.C. (cat) in his beloved FJ Cruiser.
