Lyle was my dads lifelong friend from childhood and as such a figure in my own life – he was always such a warm kind man and treated my sister and I like his own kids ! I always loved visiting with the Resh family and the warmth they showered on us will never be forgotten ! Visiting with him on the Orchard was always so fun as he toured us around and explained how things worked, you could see how much pride and joy he had ! I always remembered and will always remember his laugh – it always made me smile !! We are incredibly disheartened and sad to hear of Lyalls passing and wish the family all our love during this difficult time !!

I met Lyell and Howard in our four room school in 1946 – and we all became instant friends ! From playing Cowboys to Meccano to forts as boys to building our families years later we were the best of friends. I have many memories with Lyall and so many are favourites but during The mid sixties we embarked in building the cabins for all of us to enjoy side by side on Crooked lake ! We went up on boxing day from salmon arm while it was snowing like
Crazy so high it was above our bumpers – we plowed the snow down to the road where we would eventually break ground ! The three of us had a lot of hard work ahead of us but the memories will always outweigh all the sweet we put in ! We spent many summers together with our families and us and it’s some o f my most treasured years and I am happy it was with Him By my side!! Lyall was one of my
Most best friends an intelligent man who was there for me and by side for 76 years even though we were provinces apart for many of those years his friendship never meant any less ! I will Miss Lyall deeply and our phone calls to catch up And trip Memory lane ! Betty Vance Michelle and family my heart is with you during this most difficult time all my love

Betty, Vance, Michelle and family. Very sorry for your loss. I hope you stay strong and cherish all the good memories of Lyall as I will. Lyall was a sincere and loyal friend over many years and shared many experiences working with government. I will miss his smile and blushing personality.

I enjoyed all my interactions with Lyall as part of his volunteer work with the KVR Woodwackers, trail maintenance crew. He was energetic, fun, and business like when the need arose. He was a great asset to the Naramata community. My deepest condolences to Betty and the rest of the family. Craig Henderson

Just seeing Lyall’s face brings back such fond memories. Betty, Vance, Michelle and families I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of Lyall. Working for Lyall in Williams lake as I started my career had such great times and I always enjoyed my meetings with Lyall and the fun he had trying to keep all of us Agrolgists in line. We worked together during an interesting time in Range Management in BC. Lyall make great contributions to the management of the Cariboo Rangelands. Enjoy all your best memories. Happy Trails Lyall.
