Obituary
Merle Lillian Goguen of Malakwa, BC, beloved wife of John Goguen, passed away after a lengthy illness, on June 14, 2022, at the age of 74.
Merle was born on Dec 27, 1947, in Verdun, Quebec, to now deceased mother Joy Fulmer and deceased father David Prosser. Merle was an avid reader, loved to dance and was a true free spirit, with a heart of gold. Although she completed counseling and hospice courses, Merle worked with John in there autobody business, for many years. Merle is survived by daughter Lisa Bracher, of Creston, BC, stepdaughter Bonnie Goguen of Tracy, NB, son Alan Bracher of Buctouche, NB and stepson Brian Goguen of Chipman, NB. Merle has three grandchildren Kyle Barclay of West Kelowna, Donnie Jenkins of Sicamous, BC and Jessica Alpaerts of Creston, BC. Merle also has three great-grandchildren Layla, Nicholas, and Kayden. Merle is predeceased by sisters Susan and Donna and has two brothers Reynolds and Glenn Stephenson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations to Central Okanagan Hospice, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2Z6 or BC Cancer Foundation, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5L3, would be much appreciated.
