I want to express my deepest sympathies to the families for their loss.

Rod was a friend of mine for a long time and it has saddened me to have him suddenly gone from our lives. I was talking to him on Feb. 28th and I wish so much that I would have picked up the phone to physically talk to him, not just text. It makes me realize that life is truly short and to reach out and let my friends and family know I care.

Rod was rough and tough on the outside, but he was soft in the middle. His nickname Bunny says it all 🙂
He would do anything for you and loved the kids! Santa’s Anonymous was one of his favorite things to do. I was supposed to go with him many years ago but life happened and I wasn’t able to attend to see him in action.

Twisted Sisters in Chamberlain, Saskatchewan was a place he ALWAYS stopped at on his way through. And whenever I went home to Sask in the summer I would stop and have some ice cream and bug him that I’m there by sending him pics of the store and/or the ice cream. When I go home in May you bet I will make a pitstop there and grab a milkshake for Rod.

I find comfort in knowing that he is with his family in heaven. I know it was very difficult for him and I can rest easy knowing God has guided him to them.

I was trying to reach out to his sister but his facebook account has been deactivated. This is the next best platform to let them know how great a man Rod was.

He will be truly missed and the world is a bit more grey without him.
