Terry Gordon Carter

March 28, 1961 - August 24, 2022

Carter, Terry Gordon

March 28, 1961 ~ August 24, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Gordon Carter on August 24th, 2022 at Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 61 years. He was pre-deceased by his father Gordon and mother Blanche. Terry will be fondly remembered by his loving family, including daughters Kelsey and Melissa, former wife Ingrid (Don), brothers Gary (Cheryl), Rick (Sue), sister Janice (Neil), grandchildren Nevaeh and Easton, and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Terry was born and raised in Penticton and lived in Summerland for the past 32 years.  He was employed by the City of Summerland Public Works Dept. for many of those years and you could often see him plowing the snowy streets of Summerland, fixing water main breaks, and helping wherever it was needed. Terry enjoyed gardening, fishing, snowmobiling, and boating.  He liked to be a prankster at times and enjoyed playing jokes on people.  He loved sharing stories, laughs, and had the gift of the gab. Terry was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis and lived many years in pain. We would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at PRH for all of their help and endless support over the years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Penticton Regional Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 2nd from 2pm to 5pm at the Summerland Legion.

Rest in peace.  We love you.

From: Kettle Valley Memorial Services

The Kettle Valley Memorial staff send our condolences to family and friends.

From: Dan Lenters
Relation: Friend

My deepest and sincere sympathy for all Terry’s family. He was a wonderful and trusted friend of mine in Penticton. So sorry to learn of this sad news. RIP old buddy.

From: Brian & Brent Edge
Relation: Childhood friend and neighbour

My twin brother and I Brent had an amazing time growing up with the Carters. Playing in the orchard, flying our model airplanes, and most of all riding our motorcycles all over West Bench, Jerry Mountain and Blue Mountain. It didn’t matter whether it was summer or winter, we were riding. Those were the best times. Rest in Peace “Tiz”
