Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Ulrich Gustav Kasper better known to friends and family as Oley, announce his passing on Tuesday February 14, 2023 at the age of 71.

Oley was born in Recklinghausen, Germany in 1951 to Erna and Fred.  He received his Denturist Diploma from Vancouver Community College and soon after meeting Joan, set up practice in Vernon. Oley and Joan welcomed daughter, Amanda, in 1979 followed shortly by son, Jason, in 1982.  Oley was a devoted husband and father and active member of the Denturist Association of BC.  Oley enjoyed golfing, fishing, and camping with his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Joan: children, Amanda (Brent), Jason (Erica); grandchildren, Nicole, Caden, Addison, Paisley, Leo, Ben and numerous other family members and friends.

Oley was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Erna; and three siblings.

A private celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00p.m. at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, 4303 Pleasant Valley Rd. Vernon, BC.  An interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 4311 Pleasant Valley Rd. Vernon, BC.
