Victoria Lois Ferguson
April 20, 1944 - November 10, 2022
Obituary
Victoria Lois Ferguson of Penticton, BC, beloved wife of Kenneth Wayne Ferguson, passed away suddenly on November 10, 2022, at the age of 78 years.
Victoria was born April 20, 1944, to parents Lois Sarah and Victor Edward Madge in the Kettle Valley, where she attended school. She worked for the Provincial Parks Branch, Human Resources in Cloverdale and Vancouver and finally retiring from St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, where she worked as an administrator for the foreign medical school graduates. Vikki had a passion for the outdoors. More recently she enjoyed gardening, but in her younger years she loved skiing and even owned a motorbike in her 20s. Vikki loved birds and enjoyed birdwatching. Her love of birds and adventurous spirit inspired her artwork, where she painted birds and sculpted porcelain bird’s nests. Each nest was unique and authentic.
Victoria had a heart of gold, showing kindness and generosity to all she met. Her door was always open to her family and those who were close enough to be called family, regardless of bloodline. She was an avid reader and loved nature and watching the nature programs on tv. Vikki was dedicated to all endeavors she took on, was vibrant and had a zest for life!
Besides her loving husband Wayne, Victoria is survived by her daughter Elayna; grandchildren Leticia (Eseban), Vanessa, Pablo (Jordana), and TJ (Thomas); great grandchildren Shiloh and Nora; brothers Mick (Sharon), Jim (Carol) and Ward (Bonnie) Madge.
Victoria was predeceased by her parents Lois and Victor and her brother Geoff Cornwalis-Bate and sister-in-law Alonia Cornwalis-Bate.
