Our deepest sympathy to all of Stan’s family. Even though we had not been in touch recently, we have many fond memories of Stan while growing up in Delisle. May you rest in peace.

Our condolences to Stan’s family. Our thoughts are with you.

From: Ret Tinning
Relation: Friend

I was very sorry to hear about the loss of our friend, Stan, a golfing buddy that had been golfing with all of us for seven or eight years following his move to Penticton. He will be missed by all of us golfers from Skaha Meadows and St. Andrew’s Golf Club. He was always cheerful, and always had a good word to say about every bad golf shot that we made on the greens.

From: Edson Chan
Relation: Very close friend.

Stan I heard about your passing only yesterday. You had so much life in you and I’m saddened that your time has been cut short. I won’t ever forget about your stories of incredible hardships on the farm, the things you were so passionate about in your hobbies and the incredible friends and friendship you had made while leaving Sask. I won’t ever forget you and you will be deeply missed. I’m sorry I may have missed your funeral and I should have called or sent you a text sooner.

From: Laurie Minuk
Relation: Friends

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Stan’s unexpected death. We became friends at the Vees hockey games over the past few years. Stan was so enthusiastic about his retirement here in Penticton and the various projects he undertook, from building his amazing wine collection, planning his big vegetable garden this year and looking forward to his barbeque season. Stan will be missed by those of us who sat with him on the rail in the Vault and all the servers he was so generous to. He will be sadly missed and we will raise a glass in his memory!

From: Christel Geske
Relation: Client and friend

My condolences to Stan’s family. Stan loved life and lived it to the fullest. Always happy and optimistic. I worked at dental office he came to. I always enjoyed his visits and we always said he was a little ray of sunshine in our day.

From: Jeanne and Bruce Fairweather
Relation: Neighbour

We were shocked to hear of Stan’s death. Really enjoyed his enthusiastic stories and his good attitude.
He was so happy about his veggie garden and sadly was looking forward to going south for some warmth this winter.
Miss seeing him on our dog walks and chatting.
